Among them, hard graphite through mechanical grinding and carving, hard graphite bipolar plate corrosion resistance and conductivity are good, can meet the fuel cell use, but the type of bipolar plate brittle, lack of toughness, and is the processing cost is high, is not suitable for batch preparation. And foreign countries developed a flexible graphite bipolar plate, with high conductivity and corrosion resistance, but also has a certain toughness, can be moulded batch production, is the more ideal fuel cell bipolar plate, but flexible graphite bipolar plate raw material strength is limited, the thickness of the bipolar plate prepared on the thicker side, the finished plate thickness of about 2mm ~ 3mm, resulting in a large volume of fuel cell stacks, is not conducive to the increase in the volume of the battery than the power. The bipolar plate is an important component in the liquid flow battery, which is used to realise the series connection and separation of multiple cells, the conduction of the current generated in the cell, and to provide support for the reaction electrode in the liquid flow battery.
