What is a Li-ion battery soft pack aluminium composite film for batteries?

 Li-ion battery soft pack aluminium-plastic composite film (referred to as "aluminium-plastic film") is a composite material consisting of an outer nylon layer (ON layer), a middle aluminium foil layer (AL layer) and an inner heat seal layer (CPP or PP), with the layers bonded to each other by adhesive lamination.

  (1) Aluminium foil: a foil stamping material made of metallic aluminium directly calendered into thin sheets, the effect of which is similar to that of pure silver foil stamping;

  (2) Nylon layer: has many properties and is therefore widely used in automobiles, electrical equipment, mechanical components, transport equipment, textiles, paper making machinery, etc. It plays the role of structural support in the aluminium-plastic film for lithium batteries;

  (3) CPP film: that is, cast polypropylene film, which can be divided into general-purpose CPP film, aluminizing-grade CPP film and cooking-grade film, etc. Compared with other films such as LDPE, HDPE and PET, CPP film has lower cost and higher yield, and is suitable for application as aluminizing film, which is an important raw material for the production of lithium battery soft pack aluminum-plastic film;

 (4) Adhesive: the adhesive used in lithium battery aluminum plastic film is glue, generally speaking, the lithium battery aluminum plastic film prepared by the dry method needs to use to glue, while the lithium battery aluminum plastic film prepared by the thermal method does not use glue.



  Aluminium plastic film is a key material for the packaging of soft packaging lithium battery cells. After the single cell is assembled and sealed with aluminium plastic film to form a battery, the aluminium plastic film plays a role in protecting the contents; compared to packaging materials such as steel, aluminium or plastic shells, aluminium plastic film has the advantages of light weight, thin thickness and flexible shape design, and is widely used in many fields such as 3C consumer electronics, power batteries and energy storage. Due to the presence of electrolyte inside the battery, the soft pack material is required to resist the swelling, dissolution and absorption of organic solvents, as well as to ensure a strict barrier to oxygen and moisture. Aluminium plastic film is therefore not simply the outer packaging of a flexible pack battery, it is also one of the key components that make up a flexible pack lithium battery.

  Therefore, the design, manufacture and application technology of aluminium-plastic film materials are qualitatively different from those of ordinary composite packaging materials, and is one of the more technically challenging aspects of lithium-ion battery materials.




Features of GWELL's aluminium-plastic composite film production line:


 (1) Double force air cylinder regulates the back pressure of the press rolls to improve the lamination strength;

 (2) Independent oil heating temperature control system, optional mould thermostat or electromagnetic heating roller;

 (3) Each roll is driven by servo motor, and the speed of the rollers is controlled by the speed ratio between adjacent rolls;

 (4) Preheated rubber rolls and preheated steel rods can be used in conjunction to adapt to the requirements of materials with different characteristics.
